This webpage lists a number of reports and papers that have been prepared for the APEC Steering Group on Energy Standards. They are being held on this web site until the APEC Energy Working Group develop a web site for document storage.
Study on Algorithm Development for Energy Performance Testing. A series of reports prepared for APEC Secretariat, December 2001, Project EWG 03/200T.
This project identifies products for which the development of testing algorithms would be appropriate (and those for which algorithms are inappropriate or unnecessary). The scope of the study is limited to electrical appliances and equipment and does not cover safety or non-energy related products or requirements. The project was split into 4 segments as follows:

Symposium on Domestic Refrigeration Appliances: Background discussion paper - minimum energy performance standards, energy labelling & test procedures, prepared by Energy Efficient Strategies for APEC Secretariat, APEC Project EWG 4/99T, 22 March 2000. Paper examines the main issues of contention with regard to the testing of refrigerators for energy consumption and performance. Main test methods in use of examined and contrasted and some generalised aims for a generic test procedure are proposed. The paper was circulated as background for the APEC Symposium on Domestic Refrigeration Appliances held in Wellington, New Zealand from 6 to 8 March 2000.
